The new multi-purpose building (a commercial spaces and multi-storey car park) is located close to the “Raggio Verde” in Rimini, and occupies an urban void at the Roman walls, not far from the Arco d’Augusto. A unique opportunity to work on an important strategic area, abandoned for over thirty years. The project aims to activate relationships, favoring a series of connections between the historical center of the city and the surrounding areas. It is configured as a new gateway to the historic center, providing the possibility of activating cycle paths and connecting the city’s emergencies such as Porta Montanara, the Theater, the Rocca Malatestisana up to the Tiberius bridge. The intervention is part of the city integrating with the system of pedestrian and cycle urban flows, activating two paths at high altitude to overcome the difference in height between the park and the historical center, crossing the walls with a suspended path.

Il nuovo edificio polifunzionale (che accoglie spazi commerciali e un parcheggio multipiano) si trova vicino al “Raggio Verde” di Rimini ed occupa un vuoto urbano a ridosso delle mura romane, non lontano dall’Arco di Augusto. Un’opportunità unica per lavorare su un’importante area strategica, abbandonata da oltre trent’anni. Il progetto mira ad attivare relazioni, favorendo una serie di collegamenti tra le zone centrali della città e le aree circostanti. Si configura come una nuova porta d’accesso al Centro Storico, offrendo la possibilità di attivare piste ciclabili e collegare le emergenze architettoniche della città come Porta Montanara, il Teatro Galli, la Rocca Malatestisana fino al ponte di Tiberio. L’intervento si integra con la città e con il sistema dei flussi urbani pedonali e ciclabili, attivando due percorsi in quota per superare il dislivello tra il parco e la città dentro le mura, attraversandole con un percorso sospeso.
